toasted pecan maple latte

Maple and pecan are truly just two perfect fall flavors, so we’re putting them into a delicious latte today. This latte is truly so delicious and so flavorful thanks to the homemade toasted pecan maple syrup we put into it. It starts with toasting the pecans with the butter, so you end up with toasted pecans and brown butter – aka a ton of delicious toasty flavor. Then, we’ll add in maple syrup, brown sugar, water, and cinnamon and let that simmer to get more concentrated and flavorful. It’s truly so delicious and the perfect drink to warm you up on these cooler fall days.

So let’s get into it! 🙂

ingredients for a toasted pecan maple latte

toasted pecan maple syrup:
  • Unsalted butter: for toasting the pecans in. You can use salted butter here, or your favorite non-dairy butter stick.
  • Pecans: for flavor!
  • Water: part of the base of the syrup.
  • Pure maple syrup: for flavor and sweetness. I recommend pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
  • Light brown sugar: for flavor and sweetness. You could also sub in dark brown sugar for more of a molasses-y taste.
  • Ground cinnamon: for flavor. You can omit this if you aren’t a fan of cinnamon.
Maple whipped cream:
  • Heavy whipping cream: the base of the whipped cream. You can use a non-dairy heavy whipping cream here as well.
  • Toasted pecan maple syrup: we’ll use some of the syrup from above to flavor and sweeten the whipped cream.
  • Maple extract: optional, for more of a maple flavor.
toasted pecan maple latte:
  • Espresso: use your favorite espresso here. I used and recommend PapaNicholas Toasted Southern Pecan for even more pecan flavor.
  • Toasted pecan maple syrup: for flavor and sweetness.
  • Milk: use your favorite milk here – I used oat milk!
