gingerbread white mocha
If you’re a big fan of the white mocha from Starbuck’s but you’re looking to make a cheaper, more delicious holiday version at home – you’ve come to the right place. This white mocha is made from a white mocha coffee, mixed with a homemade perfectly spiced gingerbread white chocolate sauce, and topped with gingerbread white chocolate whipped cream.
So let’s get into it! 🙂
papanicholas coffee
I’ve partnered again with my all-time favorite coffee brand: papanicholas coffee for this gingerbread white chocolate mocha. I use their coffee beans every day and am so happy to be able to partner with them to spread the love of their coffee. In this recipe I used their White Chocolate Mocha Coffee which has rich sweetness from the white chocolate with delicate notes of cocoa. I definitely highly recommend trying some of their coffee, they have so many delicious flavors and are always the coffee I use in my recipes (and for my daily caffeine dose!). You can find their website by clicking here. Also, if you do end up purchasing their coffee be sure to use code FRESH20 for 20% off your coffee order!

ingredients for a gingerbread white mocha:
gingerbread white chocolate sauce:
- Heavy whipping cream: the base of the sauce.
- White chocolate: I recommend a high quality white chocolate baking bar for the best flavor. In a pinch, white chocolate chips will work as well.
- Molasses: for some of that classic gingerbread flavor! Make sure you are using unsulphured molasses. In a pinch, you can substitute in dark brown sugar – just note that it will taste a little less molasses-y.
- Ground cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg: for flavor. Feel free to use a pre-made gingerbread spice blend, or a blend of your favorite gingerbread spices.
white chocolate mocha:
- White chocolate mocha coffee: I used Papanicholas White Chocolate Mocha Coffee. You can use any white chocolate coffee, a neutral tasting strong coffee, or any coffee flavor you think will pair well with the gingerbread and white chocolate!
- Gingerbread white chocolate sauce: we’ll use some of the homemade white chocolate sauce in here!
- Milk: use your favorite dairy or non-dairy milk here.
whipped cream:
- Heavy whipping cream: the base of the whipped cream.
- Gingerbread white chocolate sauce: we’ll use some of the homemade white chocolate sauce in here!
- Salt: a pinch of salt helps bring out even more flavor in the sauce and whipped cream.

gingerbread white mocha recipe q&a
how do I store the gingerbread white chocolate sauce?
The sauce makes a larger batch than you’ll need for one coffee (but hey – I won’t judge!) Because of the addition of heavy cream, the sauce does need to be stored in an airtight container in the fridge where it will keep well for 1 week.
can I double this recipe?
Of course! You can double this recipe, triple it, or even quadruple it as needed! This is truly so easy to throw together and is so delicious. If you’re trying to make a large batch of the cold foam, it would probably be easiest to use a hand mixer to “froth” it.
