If you are craving a caramel frappuccino but (very understandably) don’t want to pay $6 for it, this recipe is for you. Using salted caramel and espresso gives this frappe the extra flavor and deliciousness that everyone deserves when they buy the drink. This recipe is ridiculously easy to make, but does require some preparation.

Salted caramel frappe recipe tips
Prep the night before!
Prepare your espresso the night before so that you don’t have to worry about freezing it when you’re in the mood for a frappe. In fact, I would recommend batch freezing the espresso (or coffee) so that you can make a frappe whenever you are in the mood for one!
Ingredients and substitutions
Espresso: I highly recommend using freshly brewed espresso in this recipe. It helps give the drink that coffee flavor and prevents it from being overly sweet. However, feel free to use coffee if that’s what you have on hand, and what you prefer to drink!
Milk: any milk will work here. Use your favorite dairy or non-dairy milk (my current favorite is pistachio milk!)
Salted caramel sauce: the true star of the show here. I might be a bit biased, but this is the best salted caramel sauce, ever. All you need is 5 ingredients and 15 minutes to make it! Plus, it freezes super well and will yield you with many frappes worth.
Optional: salted caramel whipped cream
If you are feeling a little adventurous, you can also make this homemade salted caramel whipped cream. It’s equally easy to make and delicious as well.
Heavy whipping cream: the base of the whipped cream.
Powdered sugar: helps thicken up the whipped cream and adds a touch of sweetness.
Salted caramel sauce: adds a delicious flavor to the whipped cream.

How to make a homemade salted caramel frappe
The process is much easier than you might think! All you need is some time. First you will need to brew the espresso, then freeze it. Annoying, I know. But by freezing the espresso, we remove the need for adding ice to the frappe, leading to a stronger flavor. After the espresso freezes, simply blend it with milk and salted caramel sauce, serve with whip cream and extra salted caramel, and enjoy!
Can I double this recipe?
Of course! You can double this recipe, triple it, or even quadruple it as needed! This is truly so easy to throw together and is so delicious.
